Sambutan Ketua Yayasan

A warm welcome to Karunia Global School (KGS). Rooted in Jambi and inspired by its rich cultural heritage, KGS offers a globally oriented education while encouraging students to understand, appreciate and take pride in their local and national identity.

KGS was established to make international-standard education and high-quality learning facilities accessible to families in Jambi. By providing these opportunities locally, children can receive a global education while remaining close to their families throughout the most important years of their development.

Today, KGS is home to approximately 800 students between the ages of eight months and 18 years, from Baby Class through to Pre-University. Our students come from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds and are encouraged to understand and respect one another. Each morning, they are warmly welcomed by our teachers and staff, who support not only their academic progress but also their personal, social and emotional development.

At KGS, education extends far beyond academic achievement. Through the Indonesian national curriculum and the Cambridge international curriculum, we provide strong academic foundations while preparing students with the skills they need for the future. We believe that academic knowledge, essential life skills, firm faith and good character must grow together to develop well-rounded individuals.

Our vision and values shape our learners. We nurture them to become Compassionate by loving God and others and building solidarity and community; Independent through creativity and innovation; Resilient by embracing challenges and taking responsibility; and Globally Competitive through integrity, discipline and excellence. We hope these qualities will remain with our students throughout their lives, enabling them to make a meaningful and positive impact on others, their communities and the wider world.

Our learning environment has been thoughtfully designed to support engaging and meaningful education. Every classroom is equipped with multimedia technology, while our laboratories, libraries, auditoriums, sports facilities, fitness centre, recording studio and specialist learning spaces enable students to connect classroom knowledge with practical experience. Designed to international standards, these facilities help prepare students for university and the opportunities that lie beyond.

Our commitment to quality education has led to several significant milestones. Founded on 24 May 2009, KGS became the first Satuan Pendidikan Kerja Sama (SPK) school and the first Cambridge International School in Jambi Province in 2014. In 2025, KGS received international accreditation from the UK-based Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC), achieving Premier Institution status. KGS is also nationally accredited across all educational levels by the Badan Akreditasi Nasional Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini, Pendidikan Dasar, dan Pendidikan Menengah (BAN-PDM).

KGS collaborates with leading institutions in Indonesia and overseas to broaden students’ experiences and create meaningful pathways to higher education. This commitment to preparing students for the future is reflected in their achievements across academic and non-academic fields at both national and international levels. Many have received university scholarships, while several have attained the highest marks in Indonesia and worldwide in various Cambridge examination subjects. Each accomplishment reflects the students’ commitment, the dedication of their teachers and the invaluable support of their families.

Whether you are discovering KGS for the first time or are already part of our community, I warmly invite you to visit us and experience how KGS prepares students to pursue their aspirations, contribute meaningfully and face the future with confidence.
